Frames beautiful, but no gallery guidance

The frames were beautiful, but after many hours crafting several gallery walls, they all shipped as separate frames with no way to access what photo combinations I had compiled for each. Additionally, it did not come with any hanging guidance to execute the gallery wall hang, spacing,etc. So while they are beautiful, getting them hung and organized took far more time that I had hoped.

Thanks for your order and the feedback, Megan! You ordered multiple gallery wall designs, and we currently don't have a good way to combine them into a single reference guide for hanging. Actively looking into providing a better resource like that for 20+ frame orders like yours. Apologies for the extra time it took you to hang your frames, we really appreciate your sharing your experience.

I found Level Frames online as a Wirecutter fave. This first order was a Valentine’s Day gift for my husband (and really for me, too). I did a collage frame of three photos from our Acadia wedding in 2024. My husband loved the gift this morning and I have already marked the wall where it will hang. Nice, well built frame

The frame is well built and very sturdy. I don't know if you make a 4x4 frame, even though that is what I thought I originally ordered, but it took some hard thinking to figure out how to brace a roughly 4x4 canvas in a roughly 5.5" x5.5" back opening. I was successful, but the extra cost for proper bracing added to the overall cost made this an expensive project. The quality of your frames is the best I have found on the web. Thank you.

Gorgeous frame, packaged with care

I couldn't be more pleased with the custom frame and mat I purchased. It arrived quickly and was made to the precise measurements requested. The frame was packaged very carefully and came with everything needed for assembly -- and even hanging. I can't remember when I've ever seen such thorough instructions! Level Frames will be my go-to source for custom frames from now on.

High Quality Craftsmanship

I have been buying level frames custom frames for about 4-5 years now and they continue to impress me. My latest custom walnut frame for a woodblock print is about the most meticulous and perfect craftsmanship I’ve seen in a frame. The craftsmanship elevates the entire piece once framed. Whoever made this particular frame at level needs to be commended.

What a beautiful way to show off my fused glass artwork, I couldn’t be happier. It is extremely solid and very well made, it handles the weight of the glass without a problem. The frame is 11.5 x 24.

Great Overall Experience

Needed to frame a large wedding photo and found Level Frames online. The ordering process was very easy and the instructions provided were excellent. I went with the simple black wood frame with white matting and the non reflective “glass”. Again, the instructions for what size to order was excellent. The recent storms slowed down the delivery but that wasn’t the fault of anyone other than Mother Nature. The frame was packaged carefully and arrived in perfect condition. The directions to put together using my photo were excellent and they provided all necessary tools to make it an easy process. I’m already looking over my photos to see what I can frame next! Highly recommend this company!

Final touch to my home sanctuary

I am currently finishing up my first book and was so pleased with the cover I wanted to mount it in my office as a reminder of my accomplishment. Level Frames did not disappoint! As you can see, my picture is clear and as gothic as my office. It was super easy to play with different frames, styles, and color combinations. My only regret is that I haven’t written another book so I can purchase another frame from them. Moving forward I will definitely use and recommend this company!

I framed several photos from some recent trips we took and they came out great. They have many more frame choices than other sites and the order process was very easy. I’m very happy with the final product.

Small Problems

I ordered a black mat and got a white mat which meant that every speck of dust shows up after framing—had to redo three times to clear. Frustrating. Otherwise, the product is solid.

Thanks for letting us know and apologies for the incorrect mat, Wendell. Rare miss for us but as mentioned, no problem to send you that replacement mat. We also include a micro-fiber cloth with every DIY frame which effectively removes any dust from the matting as well as the acrylic. Detailed feedback like this always appreciated as it helps us improve the service over time.
